I purchased this poor circa-1930 pan-style chandelier. It had suffered the ignominy of being spray-painted back. It begged me to restore its dignity. Begged. I could not refuse the poor dear.
Dignity restored. The chandelier was most grateful, and even I teared up a bit.
Having just restored a matched set of eleven such fixtures, I knew exactly what needed to be done.
A unique, and lovely, aspect of the chandelier is how the cloth-covered wing (new!) weaves through the beautifully detailed arms. So cool.
My online vintage lighting store.
The before looked like a fancy bug light. The after…wowzers! Gorgeous!!!
Great job. Were the new colors there originally ?
Oh yes!
The person who painted that black probably did a blog post about how much better it looked and had all her followers agree. I do not get the “paint everything white” trend right now.
