Brian and Bailey! MY HEROS!

Brian and Bailey are a young couple. And I mean young. It scares me to realize that I am old enough to be a grandfather to them.

These cute young kids are moving to Emporia to attend ESU. Brian wanted to buy a house to live in during his college years. And not just any house, but a cool old house. Well, I immediately adored Brian!

A while back I gave Brian and Bailey a tour of the Cross House, and it was a pleasure witnessing very young people react so positively to a very old house.

Then, during the recent Great Curtain Saga (here, here, and here), Brian wrote that he had FOUND several curtain panels. Did I still want some?

My eyes bugged out. YES was my reply.

They found five panels just sitting on the shelves at a local Walmart! (I need eight panels.) They were not sure if I still wanted them, so wrote to me and asked. YES! They returned the next day to Walmart, but only four panels were now available! They grabbed them.

Then they drove to FOUR more Walmart stores! “It became an adventure,” Bailey said, breathlessly. Tragically, no more panels could be found in the land.

But now I have four panels. And if four could be found, could four more be found? And I might well want more for the living room!

The panels are offered in two lengths. Both will work.

        52×84? We have 4…at least I think!

Kelly, you are already a hero to me. So, if you can get your hands on four more panels, you will be….a SUPER HERO!

I assume your house address is your mailing address?

You are loved, my friend! How wonderful!

I think it more the house than me. The Cross House appears to cast a magic spell, and people do strange & wonderful things as a result!

I confess to be one of the spellbound…and happily so!

Yes. In a previous post I detailed how Walmart twice cancelled my order. With no explanation! I called, and they said they might be out of stock!

Hello Ross. My name is Victoria. I was born and raised in Emporia, actually right around the corner from the Cross House on Exchange st. However I currently live in Wichita and work for walmart. This means I have access to 7 stores worth of inventory. I checked tonight and my store currently has 2 of this designed panel instock on the shelves. I did not catch the length. But the package said thermal, in other words like a black out Curtain, I was unsure if this is what you were looking for? If so I may just be able to acquire your last 4 for you, if you have not already found them. Please let me know. I would be more than happy to help you as that house has always fascinated me!
