   Get out your compass when you hang it! Growing up in the 50s and 60’s in houses that only had overhead lights in the kitchen and maybe the bathroom, I forget to look up when I go into a room. Now I have watch where I’m going because you’ve got me checking it out.

   I live at a harbor, and you literally made me do a walk-through of my house this morning to see where I could hang that light! I love the other pendant light with the sailboat as well. They’re both beautiful..

   Hello Ross,
   I just wanted to let you know that your posts are an encouragement to me. I stumbled across my interest in restoring antique light fixtures about ten years ago by finding discarded fixtures hidden away in my parents attic while I was in high school. To me it was just a weird hobby but its exciting to see other people with a passion for it.

   I have to say I enjoyed your post about the Sterberg house here in Wichita. I became fascinated with the house when my parents were looking for something to buy about around 2004ish. We toured the house several times but my dad wasn’t up for the challenge!

   Best wishes on your house project in Emporia. I also have an Emporia connection, my wife’s great grandfather was the head biology prof at Emporia State for a long time and their family lived there for a while.
