Tantalizing Momentum

I have a high tolerance level. But it has its limits. And today, my tolerance for a termite-damaged area of flooring between the kitchen and pantry reached its limit. So I tore it all out. Oh, the thrill. The thrill.

Squee!!!!!!!! Squee!!!!!!!! All the 2×12 boards for the library island are now cut! By the end of the week I will AT LAST have the island in place!

I have long wanted to restore the super-delicious stairhall niche. First, it needs a ceiling. Today, a piece of sheetrock managed to find its way into the house and by the end of the week there should be a ceiling in the niche. And then I get to hang a scrumptious light fixture, involving serpents, which Bo brought to my attention a while back.
