Cody Discovers!

So, y’all remember the doors Aaron gifted to the carriage house, and their hardware?

And y’all remember how Cody, in an obsessive mode, made hardware pretty?

Cody also discovered…drum roll, please…that the hardware is by Yale and Towne, their Lydian Pattern.

Yale and Towne, of course, did all the hardware for the Cross House. So, it is an extraordinary coincidence that door hardware gifted to the carriage house in 2022 would be from the same manufacturer as the Cross House hardware of 1894.

Cue Twilight Zone theme song.

Good on Cody for cleaning up the hardware — and for identifying it, too. Can’t wait to see the doors in place with their shiny accessories.

That looks great! I like the cleaned-up look that retains some of the patina. That’s what I’ve done in our house, and it’s a nice look that maintains the age, but looks well-cared for.

And the same manufacturer is a bonus!

    The door hardware is marvelous!

It’s just amazing the finds that complement the Cross House, just uncanny.

Kismet! Some things are just meant to be.
By the way, where are you finding the hardware design names?

More Yale and Towne hardware! Proof that high-quality items are worth investing in.
