   You can write next week off too as you are gong to have triple digits every day starting on Tuesday and it looks like humidity too as I see clouds in the forecast.

   Friday it may be 84 and Saturday 88 so you might get in two good days.

   I’m looking at Hesperia, where Diana pawPrints was born and where I rescued Freyja from the shelter there. They picked her up from the streets. They have triple digits starting I’m not sure when but going until next Monday. She has no idea how lucky she is. Even though it’s hot here and we’ve had some humidity it is nothing like there, plus there is constant shade on the north side of the house where it is probably 5-10 degrees cooler and they can lay in front of the crawlspace vents and get an even cooler breeze. Neither of those dogs are stupid.

   Hydrate.

   You could do worse than watching a bunch of old Hollywood musicals. Kiss Me Kate is one of my favorites.

   A very young Bob Fosse played one of the suitors in the movie. He didn’t do the choreography except for his own dance and it shows. Jazz hands!

   Hollywood musicals always have such convenient props. Do you think Ms. Miller would manage half as well if all she had on hand was an orbital sander, a putty knife, and a sample book of vintage Lincrusta patterns?

     I have no doubt.

     Just look at what Fred Astaire did with nothing but a coat rack, pair of roller skates and some firecrackers and a lit cigarette.

     Ms. Miller would have put demand for orbital sanders through the roof.
