Thank you, Mr. President
This is a political post.
If interested please scroll down.
In 2019 there were like 24 Democratic candidates running.
My top three was:
Pete Buttigieg
Elizabeth Warren
Kamala Harris
But Pete was way way way ahead. I was passionate about Pete. Still am.
And Joe Biden?
Ummm…
He was too old, too eager to please, and seemed delusional that he could work with Republicans.
I thought: NOOOOOOOOOO! That’s not what America needs right now! We need a fighter!
But…to my great surprise and delight…Joe has proved just that.
I am 67-years-old and Joe is the best president in my lifetime. Significantly, he tossed to the gutter the bullshit Trickle Down Economics created by Reagan and went back to a ground-up plan created by FDR. He also, boldly, got us out of Afghanistan and…I love this…was the first American president to join a picket line. These are just a few examples.
The economy is BOOMING. Wages have risen faster than inflation. Inflation is way down. Gas prices are way down. Biden has surrounded himself with incredible people who radiate intelligence and empathy (like Pete!).
But you would not know this based on the media.
HE’S TOO OLD!
And this is what the media did in 2016:
IT’S HER EMAILS!
And this is what the media did in 2012:
DEATH PANELS!
Polls through most of 1992 had Bill Clinton losing.
Polls through most of 2007 had Obama losing.
Polls through most of 2011 and 2012 had Obama losing.
Polls through most of 2022 predicted a Red Wave.
In stark contrast to polling though, Democrats are doing incredibly well. Us good guys won 28 out of 30 special elections last year. We recently turned a +11 district in Florida Blue. And we get shit done in Congress. The first two years of the Democratic House (2021-2022) was stunningly productive. And now, with Republicans in charge?
Almost zip.
Thus, you can imagine my surprise at this article in The New Republic.
And never forget:
Democrats HELP
Republicans HARM

My dad was a Republican. He believed strong capitalism meant opportunity and prosperity for those who were willing to work hard. I can only imagine how disillusioned he would be today. I jumped the fence since Carter and do strongly believe a Dem admins has stepped in to fix the damage following GOP admin every time since. Biden is a great president! Would I like someone younger ? Yes, definitely, but don’t see a problem.
I appreciate your enthusiasm and optimism. I would like to see someone younger, but Biden has my vote (and my money).
Joe has surprised me too. Though I appreciated his experience, he wasn’t my first choice. I still disagree with him on some issues but he’s done a stellar job moving the ship of state forward.
I love Joe! Now we have to get the media to do the same!
Pete was on the top of my list too, as was Elizabeth. I was hoping they would be the ticket, or at least one of them would make it. That Elizabeth would at least have a cabinet post, but I understand why she was needed to stay where she is. I’m hoping Pete will still end up in the Oval Office.
I understand Joe has told his staff to highlight and hammer on all the “crazy sh¡t” Trump says. Good. It’s about time The Democrats start using the GOP’s words against them. Reminding the public of ALL of it. I see the GOP is now walking back the Burisma stuff and trying to ignore that their prime witness for impeachment and FBI informant is a lying Russian spy.
It’s February. November is fast approaching. Time to hammer, remind the public of EVERY. SINGLE. THING. the Republicans have said or done that is against the wishes and best interest of the citizens of the United States. It’s a lot. Goes Double for the orange shoe salesman.
You are spot on Ross, I wasn’t too up on Joe Biden in the beginning either. But he has done an excellent job. He is old, but in great health and has a sharp mind. I love it when Dark Brandon highlights a Republican being an idiot and turns it into a political ad showing Joe is the best man for the job. I think the media takes whatever outrageous thing Trump says just to get readers and make money. I have read where the modern day polls are not to be believed because people don’t answer their phone when they can’t identify who is calling. That makes for a small sampling of opinions, which is not accurate. Let’s have another four years of Joe Biden!
I agree about the polls. I block all political calls. I don’t want to deal with them. I think a lot of people are like me on that.
Love to hear pro-Biden stories shouted from the rooftops. It matters. Thank you.
Hi Ross
I really love your work but i don’t share your political opinions.
If Biden is the best President in your lifetime you might believe that Americans are the only precious inhabitants of the planet and that palestinian lives don’ t matter.
The world history is going to remember him as “genocide Joe”.
Hi, Marlenia,
I don’t think Americans are the only precious inhabitants of the planet and that Palestinian lives don’ t matter.
Being president isn’t a black/white job. It’s not even 1,0000 shades of gray. It’s more like a million shades of gray.
Also, Biden doesn’t control Israel. Even Bibi doesn’t control the Israeli military.
Do you think Biden just isn’t using his magic wand?
You also…it seems…did not notice Biden’s comments during his State of the Union condemning what is going on in Gaza. Nor…it seems…did you notice Team Biden demanding cease-fire last week, and nor…it seems…have you noticed that Biden is calling for a two-state solution. You also…it seems…overlooked team Biden air-dropping food into Gaza and the building of a pier to help deliver more food.
The whole situation is a mess and has been my whole 67-years. But, sure, blame Biden.
Me? I believe that Biden is a good man, and that Team Biden is filled with good people. I’ve zero doubt that are doing all they can in an impossible situation. I don’t envy any of them.
Electoral-vote.com recently had this excellent observation:
“It would neither have been practical nor wise for Biden to come out against the war from the get-go. There were three “audiences,” for lack of a better term, that he was keeping in mind as he expressed support for the Israeli government with his words, and with military supplies. The first of those audiences was the American public. Yes, there are some voters who are very loudly denouncing his Israel policy right now. But there are also many more voters who support Israel, and who would not be happy if they believed that Biden had abandoned that nation without cause.
The second of those audiences was the Israeli public. Biden has relatively little power to impose regime change in that nation, and even if he did, the United States’ record with that sort of thing is very poor. The people who really have power to impose regime change are Israeli voters. And now that they’ve seen Benjamin Netanyahu’s management of this mess, and perhaps have learned a few things about how he manipulated things prior to the Hamas attack, they are not happy. It is improbable that Netanyahu can remain in leadership following the next Israeli election.
The third audience, and the one that is probably most important, but that gets the least attention, is the other nations of the Middle East. Biden’s #1 goal here was to keep this conflict from becoming a broader regional war. That would be far, far worse for both the U.S. and for innocent civilians in the Middle East than what we’ve got right now. In order to dissuade Hezbollah, or LAAG, or AAB or some other group from taking their shot, the U.S. had to demonstrate muscular support for Israel.
At this point, the various necessary messages have been sent. This will allow Biden to potentially do three things: (1) push for a ceasefire, (2) cease sending military supplies to Israel, and (3) focus on sending humanitarian aid to Israel and Gaza. He’s already at work on #1 and #3, and don’t be too surprised if there’s an announcement on #2 in the near future.”
