This is exactly the fixture that was in my parents home, when I was growing up. I so wish I had taken the fixtures/lights before I moved away after they passed.
Cool. I have one similar (but simpler) in my old miner’s home (rent) in Ajo, AZ, built by Phelps Dodge Corp when they basically created an entire townsite to accomodate their employees. But my ceiling light is a 1940s version. I think it’s basically the only original light fixtures left in this house.
That is awesome. Too bad you don’t have a pair. While my kitchen is 1950s they would go nicely with the fixture over the sink if there were two.
Still waiting on the last glass shade in the box. (Are you tempted to go get those other boxes yet?)
I am truly amazed par your wizardry!
Lovely, as your work always is! Thank you for sharing it with us.
