That is a nice fixture. I thought of you recently when we spent a night in the Vrooman Mansion B & B in Bloomington, IL. A nice old Italianate pile. The last owner passed away with most of the furnishings left in the house, so a lot of the original fabric of the place is intact. But, the reason you might be interested is that almost all of it’s gas/electric fixtures are still in the house! Wall sconces, ceiling pieces, all there! One additional cool thing is that they have the trunk/luggage lift still operational in the service area. Very fun!
Will you be shining up all the brass like the previous light or leaving the patina?
Do I assume that the gas flame came out the top of the glass candles or was it inside? Never seen anything like that and certainly not operational. I do love that central shade, though. Just stunning.

Again – Stunning. Someday….. 🙂
Very pretty. Is the middle shade opalescent swirl?
