A Rare Illumination

For a number of years I had an incredibly rare newel post lamp in storage. I was not sure it had all its parts. It also need a lot of work.

Yesterday, I took pity on the poor dear. It was too special to be regulated to storage any longer.

And today?

I didn’t see the beauty on your website. Did it already sell?

I have not listed it yet! In about a half-hour! WARNING: It’s $$$$!

Wow. And you had all of the parts. Now that needs a very special staircase. Do you have one? It looks so Cross House. A bit too fancy for the Carriage House but it is so beautiful it is a shame not to find a place for it.

Well, I’m sure someone has the perfect spot and is going to be absolutely thrilled to find this.

Wow! That is spectacular! ‘And’ it’s originally dual gas-electric.

That is exquisite. I want it, but unfortunately it would not look right on a Civil War-era newel post. Great job restoring it.
