An INCREDIBLE late-1890s gas/electric brass pendant!

The pendant also abounds with luscious cast-brass flourishes. OMG! Just so gorgeous!
The electric arms feature a pair of dazzling opalescent glass shades. The gas arms feature a pair of opalescent bobeches!
That these glass pieces are extant? Amazing!!!!!!!! And glass ‘candles’!
I purchased this for the Cross House ages ago but realized that I had no place for it. Thus, it is now for sale.

You’re telling me you can’t think of one place in the entire house where this outstanding fixture can hang and spread light and joy? Seriously?
For the fixture to spread light and joy, it would need scaled correctly to a room.
And it’s too small for most of the LARGE rooms in the house.
And the smaller rooms already have lighting which pleases me.
Very charming. It seems to share some graphic detail features of the Cross House – sun/star flowers & acanthus scrolling. Wonder who designed it & what their other works looked like. ☺
