An Anthemion Beauty!

My online vintage lighting store.

For several years I had this in the receiving room of the Cross House.

As stunning as it is, I later removed it because it was too big for the room, too fancy, and was circa-1904 rather than 1894.

I love the cast brass anthemion motif (right) and adjacent acanthus leaf, also in cast brass. And the gas turn keys are nothing to sneeze at! Well, after languishing for years in storage, I finally got this 31-inch-wide whopper listed for sale.

Oh I almost melted! But, would look silly in my 1963 ranch (not to mention my budget!) But one can dream… 🙂

Oh, it’s stunning, couldn’t you find another room in the Cross House to hang this beauty Ross?

I hope you found a worthy substitute for the spot.

Considering how many incarnations the house has gone through, you could get away with lighting from several different periods.
