An Unexpected Gift
I received a box in the mail.
Inside, carefully packed was something quite unexpected.
It was a gift. A surprising gift. A note was attached.
This is needlepoint!
And expertly, perfectly framed. I mean, even the back is stunning! I love the blue.
Do I really swear that much? BAD Ross!
I had zero idea that the gift was in the making. A century from now, after I am long gone, this may turn up in flea market and somebody will think: Huh???????? And they will, of course, buy it.
Thank you, Tammy!

That is perfect for you and the Cross House (and the Carriage House too). And the colors are also perfect.
I think it might be counted Cross stitch, which makes it doubly appropriate for the Cross House.
It IS cross stitch! That makes it doubly hilarious. Good eye!
Yes! What an inspiring GIFT, inspiring invigorating is the lead here, you go Ross!
This is fantastic. Don’t we all wish that we lived right near the Cross house so we could help Ross.
Fabulous! What a terrific gift. Can’t help but think there needs to be a companion piece….Squee!
HA! You’re right, Marcia!
Perfect!!!! You do have many adoring fans who DO delight in your posts and commiserate when things aren’t quite as wonderful. That is a wonderful gift, and you SO deserve it. Thanks for cheering up our lives.
Love it! I have always wanted to own an older home to renovate so I have lived your dream vicariously – yep, the squees and the fucks! And to actually tour the Cross House this April – amazing! I’m still smiling. Thanks for everything, Ross!
I burst out laughing, too! Now the question is, where will you hang it? It would certainly make for a conversation piece in the octagon bedroom, but perhaps for the wrong reasons. Seems like it belongs in a room where everything has, at some point, gone wrong.
Tammy, you are just the best.
It can officially be said that Tammy does indeed give a fuck.
Hahaha Candy! Thank you, Tammy for giving lots of f***s. Excellent Cross stitch for the the Cross House. (Thanks mlaiuppa.)
It’s not a word I favor, but that is hilarious and so completely apt. Tammy’s very talented; the entire design is just beautiful. I look forward to where it finally hangs.
