I am so jealous at how much you have accomplished, that I had to throw in my little jest. It all looks great, although green with envy, I am impressed.
I like how you kept the look of the cracks, but transferred them to the ceiling. It’s an homage to the years it spent in a derelict state! 😉
But seriously, it really looks amazing. If I were to purchase a similar house, this is exactly what I’d do. I don’t think I could live with an exact period restoration – way too much pattern and busyness. And really, the ceiling pattern was just the thing. I wouldn’t want to leave it flat white, but I also couldn’t deal with anything too busy.
I adore this room. It’s decor is so clever. I could never live in a museum but I could easily live with this and I would smile every day whilst doing so.
Which door?
The pocket door to the right.
Touche. Accent on the e.

You truly nailed the perfect mix of old and new.
