Before. After.
My online vintage lighting store.
Ages ago, I purchased a chandelier. It needed SO much work that I put it in storage.
And there it sat. Year after year after year.
Today, I managed to get it all pretty again.
Here is the Before:
Wanna see the After?
Scroll way down.
NOTE: Prepare to gasp.

Above the arms is a remarkable feature I have never seen previously: a sweet silver button which nestles inside the cloth-covered wire! That this managed to remain in situ all these decades is extraordinary.

Miracle worker! Another superb restoration, Ross.
Hi, Ross. While I rarely respond to your lighting posts, I relish each one and marvel at your skilling their restorations. But this one … WOW! What a gem! And that little button! My eye went to it immediately.
That did make me gasp. It has such a graceful design, so elegant and classic. Holding onto these relics until others recognize their beauty is a good strategy, Ross. Impressively well done.
The little charm in the wire is very cool! I have never seen it before!
Ross, you know I love you for many reasons. And now I’m adding another to the list: You actually used “in situ” in a sentence. You are an English Major’s dream.
