I purchased a pair of the 1930s bathroom sconces because I felt sorry for them. The shades (fabulous!) were in good shape. but the chrome on the metal bodies was pitted, horrible, and unsalvageable. I just HAD to do something! Plus, the sconces were by Lightolier! How could I ignore abused Lightoliers?

The chrome could not be saved, so, after meticulous sanding, I refinished in classic white. Black might also look good! I will not make money on the pair, but feel good having brought them back to life.
