Before. After.

I debated buying this 1920s Colonial-Revival-style silver-plated chandelier. It was $$$. But it had original blue glass drops! And, astoundingly, what appeared to be original, and extraordinarily rare, glass shades! Well, what choice did I really have? I purchased it. I thought it would need a simple polish and rewiring. But….no. Some ding-dong sprayed lacquer OVER tarnished silver-plate! So, I had to laboriously strip the whole thing, and then polish. Argh! But the results?

I am amazed that the glass shades, the full set, managed to survive from the 1920s to 2016. AND all the blue glass drops!

    Wow, very nice!

What are the patterns on the shades? Urns with greenery? Chalices? Menorahs?
