I purchased a pair of 1920s sconces, richly detailed and with an unusual finish. Are they silver or gold?

 

While cleaning the fixtures I realized they had the tell-tale little holes for crystals! The finish is kinda the color of pencil lead, and with silvery highlights. Gorgeous!

    Were the faux-candle drip covers not original?

      They were from the 1980s.
