CH: Day 34

Oh, the horror. Original 1894 trim (I think) between the first- and second-floors. Downspout to far left.

Setting up scaffolding on the main west front. Then it started raining, bigly. I will paint all this with white primer save the window, far right. That will have the dark green trim, and gloss black sashes (already restored).

Hope the rain doesn’t delay you too much.
Onto side 2, exciting! When will you paint the cedar shakes above the siding?
Many years from now, Cindy.
Sigh.
Oh OK, sigh, didn’t mean to be a downer. The important part is painting the siding and windows.
We retired and moved to Kansas in February from Cali and are now firmly ensconced in our little 100 year old Craftsman in Medicine Lodge. The people are wonderful here and the Gyp Hills are gorgeous! I love all the rain we’re getting. It beats the hell out of the Cali wildfires we got every year! Because I say that we’ll probably get a tornado! 🙂 The carriage house looks amazing! Hopefully, we can make appointments to see the Cross House one day.
1st wall done is such a great feeling. Glad you can move on to the next section and have that to look at to keep you motivated . Looks great!
Wow Ross! What fantastic progress!
Awesome ! I would put pictures of the before in front of the building, so passers-by would see and understand all yours efforts.
