FLOORING!!!!!!!!!!!

In May, handsome Justin delivered a pile of oak flooring for the Carriage House. He later moved it into the living room. Where it sat and sat, all my pleading, begging, and desperate texts notwithstanding.

Then…why, I gasp!…I discovered this two Mondays ago. Unbeknownst to me, Handsome Justin had begun his magic. And Ross? He squeed. A lot.

WIth even passing day, more flooring was installed and the squeeing of Ross continued.

By the end of the week, the squees could be heard in Paris, slightly disrupting the Olympic preparations.

The fooring pattern is fashioned after the original circa-1920 conversion flooring, which is only extant in the Secret Bedroom and foyer.

2021. Looking from the dining room into the kitchen. In the foreground is plywood. Then the original circa-1921 floor from the former pantry. Then the circa-1921 kitchen floor, which I revealed several years ago.

Standing on the plywood looking at the old pantry floor.

Squee!!!!!!!

Looking into the new pantry and bathroom.

Old plywood.

Oak!!!!!!!

The living room is next. Then all the repair work to the bits of original flooring. Then it all needs to sanded and finished.

But…how long before I can lure Justin back? If ever?

Excellent craftmanship, Handsome Justin. Lure…. food? Singing? Dancing? Free stay at the Carriage House when finished, with his guest for a week?
