I keep thinking of this very sweet kid Ukrainian kid who came as an exchange student in the late ’90s to stay with our neighbors. She spent a few weekends at our house when her host parents went out of town. Masha probably has almost grown kids of her own by now, and I’m worried about her and her extended family. I am outraged that anyone in this country could be supporting that piece of crap Putin… and I hope there’s a very hot level of hell waiting for him. (And I’m not religious and probably don’t even believe in hell – but in his case, here’s hoping.)

I sincerely hope you are right. With luck, he’ll get what’s coming to him. I’m voting for Beth’s hot very hot level of hell. Though in Dante’s Inferno, the lowest level of hell wasn’t hot, it was ice. Maybe he’ll be buried up to his neck in the Siberian tundra.
