And the good news…this seems to just be the beginning…but I think it’s going to get really, really ugly.

    • Ross on March 30, 2023 at 7:36 pm

      Jean!

This just posted: “Trump faces more than 30 counts related to business fraud, sources tell CNN.”

Not to be Debbie Downer, but these hush money crimes will NOT result in my long hoped for incarceration of idiot Trump. I look anxiously forward to the other investigations for interference with the election, lying to congress related to the Mar a Lago documents, etc. In the mean time though, I couldn’t be happier that the holding of him responsible has begun. I’m fervently hoping that many will be wary and weary of his baggage before they vote for him again.

On a brighter note, I love the progress your are making on the Cross House and look forward to a cruise to Emporia in the not too distant future to see the progress in person.

This is a camel’s nose situation. His organization has already been found guilty.

They will start on him with these lesser charges to get convictions. It establishes a pattern of criminal activity. Then it will move on to more serious offenses. Eventually he will be brought to trial on more serious charges as a convicted criminal. Much easier to convict when you are already a felon.

I do not disagree with your points. Future indictments will not be so vulnerable to the “outrageous to indict a former president” garbage. He is not above the law anymore than I am. Fines will not deter him, perhaps a few years behind bars will.

Yes, I know, it’s so exciting! (but sad that we even have to be excited about something like this).

I am right there with you Ross! I feel also that this is the beginning of The People catching up to this career criminal. I have a bottle of champagne with Jack Smith’s name on it.

He has always been known in New York circles as a man morally bereft, a swindler and a cheat. He was risen to a position of high esteem, and with that elevation came a light that was shone upon him so bright that it’s true nature was revealed. You can thank a free press for that; I’m sure with that the outcome might have been so much different. Now, the whole world knows what he is and I hope this is the first step of what will probably be many, that will steer America back towards a country of laws and justice. I for one, have sorely missed that “shining beacon on the hill”! In the days ahead, I’m sure the “Great Bellower” will be passing lots of wind about this affront to his omnipotence.

    • mlaiuppa on April 1, 2023 at 5:45 am

      Apple, tree, yadda.

I read that Fred Trump did this exact same thing, reducing value to the Feds and inflating it for bank loans. Trump is no stable genius. He didn’t think this up himself. Just imitating his Dad and doing business that way.

Hope he realizes that he could have avoided all this by NOT running for president and not winning. He thinks running and winning a second time will protect him. Sorry, nope. He’s the one that broke all of the precedents and now they are going to break him.

There’s more to come and I am just giggling with Schadenfreude.

“I wear a mask so I am alive when Trump goes to prison.”

        Love that quote!

Not a fan of Liz Cheney, but it seems like it’d be kinda fun to be a fly on her wall today.

  20. LisaD on March 31, 2023 at 1:42 pm

I’m sorry, I don’t follow politics so I don’t know what is going on. But if it’s Trump and him getting arrested!!! YEEHAW! Thanks for letting me vent!

Let no evil deeds go unpunished. After all, he’s a Republican and they crow about that all day, all night, and five times on Sunday.

Good to be checking back in here and catching up.
