Inchin’ Along

Another coat of mud.

Previously, I posted about the original Conversion wallpaper for the room: a pale lavender with silver stripes.

And now…squee!!!!!!!!….I discovered the original Conversion ceiling border! How amazing that this would be revealed after 103 years!

Wowie – that wallpaper and ceiling border are amazing! Happy dance.

Funny how you brought “inching along” up. Warm and sunny today on far SW Arizona today, so had a busy outdoor day. I can remember when I could do three or four times as much labor and not be inching along afterward! But it’s all good. I get more fit and taking life a little slower is often more enjoyable.

Have a Happy Solstice, everyone! I love it when the days begin to lengthen again…

It was warm today in So. Cal too. Probably all your fault, winds from the east and all.

I didn’t do much of anything. Went to class to work on my watercolor, then stopped on the way home to order flowers for my Mom for Christmas.

Day off from baking. Likely tomorrow too as pickup is Friday and it is also recycling day so I want all of the bins full since collection will be a day late for the next two weeks.

Back to baking Friday through Monday. Delivering Tuesday morning or possibly late Monday night so I can sleep in.

I am also trying to keep more active. Starting Dec 24 it is back to rebuilding my gate and fence, then digging holes for fruit trees, aggressive pruning, building two more raised beds in the front and then dumping dirt from the front to the back. I’ve got a to-do list that will probably fill up all of 2025 already.

Those are great finds. Are you going to save them, clean them up and frame them to keep? You might be able to gently clean them a bit with a cotton swab and some distilled water.

That border is beautiful. I wonder how much it would cost to have it reproduced?

    Happy Holidays Ross and friends.
Your posts, both practical and political, are refreshing. Your before and after shots of lighting are amazing.
I appreciate all of it. Thank you.
