I’ve been glued to the TV/Internet watching this. I’m utterly heartbroken for the people of Ukraine and terrified for the rest of us. And angry about all of it.
I’ve been glued to updates, thinking how we are going about our lives as normal but what if we had to deal with dodging tanks, eyeing the sky for planes dropping bombs. I think of the most scared I’ve ever been and multiply that times twenty, outright terror. There’s not enough deaths Putin could go through to equal the evil he is putting upon Ukrainians.
This is all so horrible. My one consolation in all of this is people are being allowed to bring their pets into the shelters and they are not leaving them behind. The looks on the faces of those poor dogs and cats. They don’t understand what is happening but take solace in the arms of their people. I fear for the safety of the people. How safe will it be for them to remain in Kyiv or the areas the Russians are invading? And will it be only a matter of time before they drive everyone west to the sea? Then what?
My heart breaks for these people and their pets.
And there’s zero rational reason for any of it.
BIG hug, Karen.

Kara, your heartbreak and anger are 100% justified.
BIG hug!

Oh, Kelly. Kelly. BIG hug my wonderful Kelly.
The senseless tragedy of the attacks on Ukraine & her people. I am outraged & utterly devastated by this!
It’s so so scary!
Reminds me of Czechoslovakia in 1968…..
Thank you Ross for a place where we can share our feelings,

The whole thing is hideous but the tank thing was especially disturbing. It just dreadful.
It’s also a war crime, Annette.
BIG hug!
Exactly. I hope someone is tracking down the crew of that tank and they will be held accountable for this war crime.
Prayers for Ukraine. It’s awful and senseless.
