I am with you, but unfortunately I don’t think it will make any difference at all at the polls. It is almost like he has his constituency hypnotized. I know it sounds crazy, but I think that Fox news has been brain washing its viewers for years. There is no other explanation that I can come up with that explains intelligent people repeatedly overlooking such offensive actions. And there are plenty of intelligent supporters.
I think it will make a difference but not in the polls, but in the Republican Party leadership. They are going to have to think long and hard if they want to put a convicted felon on the top of their ticket. That isn’t a good look. They can’t put their head in the sand that there was overwhelming evidence that the jury did their job and the trial was more than fair.
They are going to have to consider if they really have a good chance of winning if they do this. While it would certainly benefit Trump personally I don’t think it will benefit the party. I think the damage will be long lasting.
Plus there are three, possibly four more trials coming for Trump. D.C., Georgia and Florida and possibly Arizona. And another E. Jean Carroll if he can’t stop opening his mouth.
Trump is desperate to win so he can pardon himself and stop the other trials. I don’t think he can in Georgia because that is State. so is Arizona. But D.C. and Florida are Federal and those are serious indictments.
This is the beginning of the end. How bad we won’t know until we hear from Merchan in July. If he get parole until after November or after his term of office if he gets prison time. If he only gets probation I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets so much probation it will basically be probation for life.
Which brings up an interesting fallout. Will he be able to vote in the state of Florida? He can’t vote until he has served his sentence, that means not until after his probation is over. But I’m sure DeSatan will pull some strings just special for him.
All that you say makes total sense. But don’t forget that they have already put a former president on the ballot who lost re-election four years ago and who incited an attack on the capital while he was trying to subvert the transfer of power and during which he sat around watching the event and took no action while his supporters attacked the Capital Police and ransacked the Capital. All immediately following a rally that was based upon the lie that the election was stolen. Despite all of this the party supports him with tremendous enthusiasm. I would not look for sensible decisions to be made by the Republican party any time soon. And he is already the chosen candidate anyway.
As per CNN, the State of Florida will not restrict his right to vote despite the conviction.
Opening the good champagne!! I have faith in our jury system again. The defense had opportunity to present proof he was not guilty and they didn’t. They can’t he is guilty. Now he needs to go to jail like you and I would. Crossing my fingers! Cheers to America and the constitution.
Feeling relieved right now. There’s still a long way to go, though. And a big election coming up in November. This is NOT the time to be letting down our guard.
Lol, so’s mine!
mine too–I just wish it’d send him to jail.
What a relief that there is some sanity left.
I’m smiling but it may be either a grin or a frown on July 11.
Hoping the July 11th news will result in more grinning on July 15.
It’s over. He isn’t going to be able to pardon himself for those delayed trials which will all happen eventually. Even Florida.
Amen!

Yes, we switched to Fox News and of course they say it was a set up by the Democrats. VOTE BLUE!!
Me too!!!!!!!!!
So with you on the smiles!!! Only wish they would put him in jail – one could dream 😉

And mine!
I still hardly believe it!
Happy dance. We still have a long haul before this saga is over, but this is a good sign!
I’m hoping it’s the first of several to come!
😊😊😊
It’s a wonderful day in America!

Convicted felon … yep, those two words feel like firm relief.
🌻 Cheers all!
