Should I???????? The Dramatic Conclusion

Y’all have been following the saga of the Bedroom Suite Furniture Drama! After years of looking for a set of bedroom furniture for the Cross House I, at last, and after looking at thousands of sets, fell in love with this. But the purchase price + shipping was just too much. Sigh.

Jenine brought my attention to another set, with the headboard shown here.

Set #2 was much more affordable, and within driving distance. But, I wasn’t in love. I was in like.

Plus, the seller of Set #2 never got back with me.

This contrasted with the seller of Set #1, who was very good about responding. She also reduced her price a bit, and found a shipper who quoted a very reasonable sum if I could meet him in St. Louis.

To me, the stars seem to align over Set #1…and I just purchased it. And soon, my life will become a movie…

So the parlor is done and one bedroom will soon be furnished. Hopefully, the kitchen will follow, and then I can see, in the not too distant future, the Cross House becoming habitable again. If you let us know when your move-in date is, I’m sure more than a few of us will take the time to come and help you move.

Changing the subject….but do I hear a familiar song coming from Emporia? Goes something like this, ” Shingle bells, Shingle bells, Shingle all the way….Oh what fun….” O.k. Gotta stop there…probably not so fun…BUT, hope to see what you have been UP to (get it? Up on the scaffolding?? Yucka! Yucka 😅!) Since the weather has been nice out your way. Can’t wait for your next post, Ross!

    • Ross on February 1, 2020 at 10:59 pm

Linda! Now you’ve spoiled all the future fun!

Oops! You know how you get so tired that you get the giggles and you laugh at the silliest things? Well, I was just laughing at myself the whole time I was typing that post. Sad but true! What I did was give your Rossotonians a cliffhanger! Did he? Or didn’t he? What is he up to next? Will be dare climb that scaffolding again? Or is he building “the wall”? ( Sorry!) As a Democrat I HAD to add that! And, again, I am cracking myself up!

Is the set being delivered to St. Louis, where you will be picking it up?

    • Ross on February 3, 2020 at 7:45 am

That hasn’t been established yet, Bill.

And the shipper said he might bring it to Kansas City, at no extra charge, as he has a delivery there! So, crossing my fingers!!!!!

That’s great, Ross! (If it doesn’t pan out that way, my offer still stands!)
