What does this mean?
The incredibly aggressive white supremacists wave of racism that has been growing for these last four years. I wished unity and peace for the United States, but you cannot have unity and peace with a group of people who promote hatred and violence. So to them, for their bigotry and lack of human decency, I wish them to rot in hell. Do please pardon my language.

It is impossible to have unity when a large portion of the population is just fine with their party destroying democracy and devolving into fascism.
Poll after poll, and study after study, all make stark the same thing: a great many Republicans think the election was stolen (even when zero such evidence has ever been produced), and they are also fine with America becoming a fascist country.
And how will there ever be unity when one party, Democratic, works hard to improve the lives of most people, while the other party, Republican, is actively working to make the lives of most people harder? I’ve done numerous posts factually detailing this profoundly unhealthy schism between the two leading American political parties.
And how will there ever be unity when one party, Democratic, is interested in facts, while the other party, Republican, thinks facts are fake news?
And, sigh, brain-dead Biden? And heals-up Harris? Really, Ohlert? Really?

We watched your inauguration from the UK yesterday. We find it hard to comprehend how your Republican Party cannot see the damage they have inflicted on their own country. What we’ve witnessed on TV the last four years has been akin to early 30s Germany. For those of you that think the threat of fascism has gone from the capitol, don’t be naive.
You need to support your new government in severely punishing those responsible for actions on the 6th and all those elected officials that enabled it. Zero tolerance.
I hope that young Joe manages to heal the wounds the last few weeks have inflicted. I think the scars of the last four years may last much longer.
My father was brought to tears watching Kamala take her oath, after watching her international profile develop over recent months. We feel that she is a very good bet to break that final glass ceiling in American politics.

It fascinates me how Orwellian Trump supporters are. They say WE ARE PATRIOTS when their actions and words are actually traitorous. They say WE LOVE AMERICA when their words and actions damage America and democracy. They say FAKE NEWS when they are the primary source of false information. And on and on.
