Ta-Da!!!!!!!!
Several years ago (2020?) I attached a 2×12 ‘ladder’ to the roof over the kitchen. I did this to remove the old crooked brick chimney. It has since remained, a visual blight, but it proved useful in finishing things up.
But, no more! Oh, how i have lived for this day! Note, too, how the very bottom edge of the shingles has been been improved, with missing shingles (just above right edge of gutter) no more! I also have plans to make the deck look better! And I greatly look forward to the door being refinished. Small moves, Ellie. Small moves.

The “ladder” on the roof is finally gone, the pile of wood in front of the deck and there is a door to the basement. Moving right along.
