This is not a real TIME cover. But it could be.

Today, Trump tweeted this. There is not a single Democrat in the Senate that wants illegal immigration or weak borders. But Trump could care less about the truth. Indeed, he is provably…

…hostile to the truth.

In my experience, Trump supporters are also hostile to the truth. I have never known a Trump supporter who fact checks anything. So, it is understandable why such people would be drawn to a man who is also hostile to the truth. Like attracts like, as my mother always said.

Today, Trump tweeted two lies about Democrats. Two insulting lies.

And his supporters won’t care.

Indeed, his supporters will believe the lies. Of course.

Once upon a time there was another Liar-in-Chief. And his supporters also believed everything he said. And look…

…how that ended. Is the future of America?

The truth is very powerful. Indeed, I believe that truth = God.

So, how can America be great under a Liar-in-Chief?

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

I need to go buy a black flag…

I agree 100%. I have compared Trump’s rise to the rise of Hitler since well before the election. My grandfather was a very wise man, and he could usually see people for what they really were; I know that he would agree with me on Trump, because he remembered the decade leading to WWII very well. He told me once that, beginning in the mid-30s, Mainstreet America would once in a while catch wind of what was beginning to happen in Germany, and it made people very uncomfortable…for a minute or two. Then, they would go back to thinking about their own little problems, or their own comfort; more often, they would dismiss the horrible rumors by saying “Oh, if that were true, the people would get rid of him. After all, they’re a civilized country!’ Now, the people in Germany (and the rest of the world) are likely thinking that about us. I am ashamed of the world that my generation has prepared for our grandchildren. What scares me the most is how the hate, fear, anger, prejudice, and dishonesty seems to be infecting so many Americans; it is almost like some horrible sci-fi movie, and I am terrified as to the ending…

What does the rest of the world think of Trump? Mostly abject horror and fear. This man could so easily lead us into WWIII and there’s not a damn thing we can do about it.

I’m just hoping that people who voted for Trump in a casual way vote for someone else next time. Cause I’m not sure we can survive another 4 years of Trump.

What does the rest of the world think of Trump?

They think he is a danger to the whole planet.

The global standing of America has plummeted during the last year, save in Russia and Israel.

        Thanks, Annette.

Most Canadians think like me – he’s a fucking retard.

On a personal level, I have never, truly felt HATE until this ass won the presidency. Thank you, Ross, for your political posts as I am incapable of adequately composing all that want to express on the topic.

      Thank you, Mary.

      Also, did Trump win?

Or did Russia steal the election for him?

Ross, I very much appreciate that you warned us what this post contained. I could not disagree with your political positions more, but I respect your right to believe however you wish. I have not read the post or the comments, just scrolled down so that I could convey my appreciation to you.

I love the work you are doing on the Cross House, and eagerly await each new post about the house. I was particularly horrified about the water damage to the Parlor ceiling. I know you will make it even more beautiful than before! Bless you for the work you are doing! It’s truly inspirational!

Thank you for you gracious comment. And kind words!
