Neato! I find comfort knowing I’m not alone in my OCD-ness!! Ross, so wish we were neighbors. You’d benefit from free labor and I would be in heaven!
Ahhhhh….. sigh. So neat, so organized, so list-y. Mel is a happy person. 🙂
I love anything neat and organized, especially if it is in list form! Your attention to detail and unflagging striving for excellence is very admirable. You’d have been an outstanding Army CSM (Command Sergeant Major).
This site was mentioned in the realtors photo’s comment section! Just thought I would post it here as you might be interested in restoring it for it’s content that was there until 11/21/16.
The site you link to was created by the previous owner of the Cross House., Bob Rodak.
It seems that he has not renewed the site. I hope he does.
I found some if it on the internet archive.
Ross, are you still working on the house and posting? I am new to your website, and so am having trouble seeing if you have posted anything lately. Thanks.
Hi Karen Anne!
On my Cross House main page, the last post is dated July 15, 2016.
You then have to click on Page Two to see later posts.
I have made my way through all the postings and progress on Cross House after discovering you on YouTube with the CIRCA interview, Thanks so much for posting reply to one of my responses. I have had such fun learning about all of this since yesterday. Will continue to enjoy the posts. I noted above last post in July 2016 and will continue to check back on continued progress. Good luck with your continued efforts!
I am confused.
My last post is NOT July 2016.
I post almost daily!
To see posts past July, you need to click on Page 2!
THIS is page one of Restoring the Cross House.
THIS is page two.
I think what confused me is I am used to blogs where the most recent post is at the top of the first page.
I deliberately chose to have RestoringRoss default to CHRONOLOGICAL posts.
But you can chose MOST RECENT with a simple click at the top of the main pages for all posts.
Thanks Ross! I found page 2 and the daily posts! I am a dinosaur regarding these kinds of things and figures out how to naviagate your blog! Sorry to be such a dope! Thanks for the guidance:-)
I can’t believe I found this site. I’ve been reading your comments on OHD and wishing I could see your own project. I graduated from Emporia State waaaay back in 1978. Originally from Leavenworth, KS, I just love the beautiful old homes in the midwest. I truly envy your ambitions for this home. Next time I pass back through Emporia, I’m going to run by Union Street to see in person (from the street of course).
Thanks for all of your informational postings and have a ton of fun with your baby.
Nice to “meet” you!
I’m so jealous! It has always been my dream to buy & restore a house like this. I am absolutely in love with all the architectural details & ESPECIALLY that woodwork! I’m so glad someone with such passion rescued this glorious old beauty.
Ross I am in LOVE with your beautiful home, THANK YOU so much for saving her! You can tell that this is a true labor of love! I stumbled across you and the Cross House site over the weekend and have enjoyed reading up on all the amazing details of everything!! Thank you for taking the time to post so much! This is truly a wonderful undertaking to restore an home and do it the right way. I see a road trip in my future and I’ll gladly pay the fees to see this amazing project first hand!
Nice to meet you, Donna! And thank you for the kind words!!!!!
Do you give tours of your home? If so, how much?
