Want To Help?

Tonight, I donated to the World Central Kitchen.

WCK uses the power of food to nourish communities and strengthen economies in times of crisis and beyond. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Chef Relief Team mobilizes to the front lines with the urgency of now to start cooking and provide meals to people in need. WCK’s resilience work advances human and environmental health, offers access to professional culinary training, creates jobs, and improves food security for the people we serve.

WCK has provided tens of millions of fresh, nourishing meals for communities around the world. Your donation today will be used to support our emergency food relief efforts and resilience programs.

WCK is helping to feed and assist refugees pouring out of Ukraine.

If you can help, even with only a small amount, every donation helps others.

    Thank you for this Ross.

I donated to CARE before reading this post and my sister told me about ifaw.org to help the animals that have been left behind. Here are some additional links for helping animals.

    Thanks you and everyone.

Thank you, Ross and Karen, for sharing these links so that we can help those unfortunate people (and pets) in Ukraine. While 9/11 gave the US a localized taste of what war on our own soil would be like, America really hasn’t experienced it first-hand since the Civil War 160 years ago. We are both horrified and fascinated by what we see on the news, but it is so easy to shut it off and go about our lives as though it were a mini-series. As I look at my young grandchildren and I see how crazy this world is getting, I wonder if they will see events such as are happening in Ukraine come to the US… Fascism and tyranny are diseases, humankind is the body; if we allow it grow unchecked and untreated in one area, it will eventually spready all over. This is why it so important that we support Ukraine and other countries when they are in need.
