When Size Matters
A blog which I tremendously enjoy is Big Old Houses, which is owned by John.
John is a world-class nut. And I mean that in a good way. John has had a life-long passion for really big old houses. So big that they make the Cross House look like a child’s toy house. BIG is what John is inexorably drawn to.
You just gotta love the man.
I strongly recommend that, when you have time, you go through all John’s archived posts. All of them. Each is fascinating.
A unique aspect of what John does is to demand, and receive, an All Access pass whenever he visits a big old house. We users, in turn, are invited to tour the never-seen portions of these big old houses, like basements, attics, servants quarters, and kitchens. John also has a passion for incredible old bathrooms, but who does not?
It is all too delicious.
Big Old Houses really should be, at the very least, a multi-volume set of books. And Big Old Houses would certainly make for a great television series.

I was reading John’s blog and tried to find the new one. I then read this article and wondered if you were aware of it http://www.newyorksocialdiary.com/social-diary/2016/remembering-john-foreman-our-master-of-big-old-houses
Ross, thank you SO much for sharing this. Can’t wait to go down this rabbit hole of a blog. John’s 2011 Behind the Veil post is amazing!
