Before. After.

This is called a slip-shade fixture because the shades “slip” into place. I rarely buy them because EVERY vintage lighting seller carries them. Instead, I gravitate toward unusual stuff rarely seen. But this fixture captured my special attention. The shades are incredibly expressive. And I am am sucker for the kind of stacked cup effect on top. So very Wizard of Oz. While the chrome was very dirty, it did not appear pitted. Could the whole be polished up to look pretty?

Why...yes.

Why…yes.

Wow, that is the most unique slip-shade fixture I’ve seen. And I totally agree that it could fit into the deco styled Emerald City!
