Colorful Windows

After each stained-glass panel is restored, its wood sash also needs to be restored, and the panel glazed in. Here is the inner west vestibule stained-glass waiting to be re-installed.

And backlighted!

And re-installed!

The two curved stained-glass windows from the Round Bedroom are also waiting to be re-installed! They yearn to be backlighted again! As do I!

Beautiful, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You are so lucky to have that many stained glass windows in the Cross House. Truly magnificent.

      Agreed, Cindy!

There are 43 stained-glass windows in the house, and they were falling apart when I purchased the house.

Two Heritage Trust Fund grants have enabled their restoration. The last room to be done is the parlor, and they should be back soon!

Looking forward to seeing the parlor windows installed. So nice to have Heritage grants.

My parish church only has 21 stained glass windows. You are indeed lucky, and the House is lucky you found it.

Cross House stained glass windows at one of the many amazing things about the Cross!

They never cease to amaze me & everyone else!

    Such beautiful jewels!

    Yay Heritage grants!!!!

      Thank you, Sandra!

Without the two Heritage grants none of the 43 stained-glass windows would have been restored. So, the grants have been a huge gift to the house and to the future.

I admit that I lust after your windows! The designs are just beautiful! I’m so glad you have a restoration company you can rely on. I hope I get to see them up close and personal some day. But you’ll need a mop nearby to wipe up the drool.

You have the most beautiful stained glass windows…each one more beautiful than the last.
