A cold spell forced me back inside. So I began painting the ‘cracked ice’ pattern on the library ceiling. But, am I happy with this? Hummmm.
Today, I painted a pattern I thought about a few years back. I think it should remain a thought rather than a reality. (Ignore the bit of mess center, left.)

I kinda like the 2nd option. It made me think more of lightning bolts which would tie into the space theme.
Hmmm, indeed. 🌎
In the first pic, it feels as if the ice itself has a slow settling, melting crack – as it is in the parlor. In the second pic, the ice has a more deliberate crack to it with a hole ripped into the structure, exposing the universe. The dynamic is quite exciting & personally, I think I’d like to see a difference in each of the rooms. 🌻
I’m now bound to wonder … are we under ice or, are we under glass? ☝
I see why you think the second one should remain a thought *clears throat* 🙂 and yet, I do like it better than the first one. I like how it pulls the eye toward the portal.

I like the second one, it gives me David Bowie vibes, and every house needs a little bit of Bowie.
Jessica, I already have a little bit of Bowie!
Always got to have some Bowie.
