A Stripping Conclusion
How it started.
And how it now is.
I am leaving the old paint that will be hidden by the fridge. I know, bad Ross.But, I can always do this later; for now it will save me $$$$ and time. Two things precious to me.
Kim suggested two kinds of sealers, which will protect the brick from grease, and give it a sheen. Which I really want.
Justin is on call to help me finish the ceiling! And Dr. Doug is soon to start making the island.
Exciting things are afoot!

That is amazing. I have no painted brick but I am impressed by the product. I’m going to be using something similar on some furniture I am stripping and refinishing.
Soon the kitchen in the Cross House will be as impressive as the kitchen in House #3.

Those are some kind of amazing bricks. The grout lines are so thin the bricks nearly look like they’re just a single piece of concrete, cast and molded into the look of bricks. Is the mortar also a color that matches the brick?
I think it’s not the worst thing to leave the back painted for now. It also kind of leaves a ‘record’ of how you found it before you moved in.
What a stunning difference it makes to have the brick stripped. Getting the ceiling installed and the island in place is going to go far in making the kitchen look complete!

I agree with JP. Leaving the last section as it is leaves a story for the house to tell. You could make a picture board with before/ after and products used to hang the where it would be a blessing to have some day?? It looks great
