And…..the Belated East Facade

Yesterday, I did a long post showing the restored west and north facades, and the terrifying south facade.

Then Mary asked: “But where is the east facade?”

I can deny Mary nothing, so today I added before/after images of the incomplete east facade. You can view the updated post here.

We just got home from Batavia New York. There is a home there that is pretty identical to Cross House. Same paint scheme.

    Hi Ross.

I always check before retiring what is going on at the Cross House. I’ve read your complete blog and comments and love the way you write. I’ve always loved old things and like restoring old furniture. You do a wonderful, thorough job and and with so much ambition. So nice to see this in a throw-away society.

Did I see the kitty fence started on the east facade picture?

      Hi, Patsy!

It’s very nice to meet you! And thank you for the kind words!

Yes, the tall posts in the ground are the start of the cat fence. I had them installed last year.

After a few months of reading, I’ve finally caught up! Great blog, you should be proud of the work you’ve done.
