Another Kenny Find!
Kenny alerted me to this on Facebook Marketplace. Well…YES! And so today was a 2-hour drive to get it, and 2-hours driving home.
Note the pink/green paint on the hard-carved disk.
The cast-brass flourishes captured my special attention.
And more cast brass! I love the upholstered donuts! Thanks again, Kenny!

Beautiful. But, is that a Crack or cut somehow running through the flowers?
Just fabulous. And that crack across the medallion in no way detracts. In fact, I like it as it speaks to the history.
I would call those rosettes Yo-Yos as that’s what they are in quilting. They are very fun. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them on a piece of furniture.
I’m looking at a possibly three hour drive each way myself, to pick my Mother up a Zoomer chair. She really needs one and I can’t afford to pay anything near full price ($2700). Found one on Craigslist for $1000 but it’s 138 miles away and means driving through L.A. So I’m thinking at least 3 hours one way. Depending on traffic might even be an 8 hour round trip. If I could get it for $1,000 though, I’d do it. Haven’t heard back from the seller so not holding my breath. The listing is 15 days old and the chair is likely sold and he just forgot to take the listing down. It will be the second one I lost out on.
If Kenny lucks into a Zoomer mobility chair at anything near $1,000 I’ll gladly pay the shipping.
He certainly has a talent for finding just the right piece. How many is this now? Three? Four? You don’t even have to reupholster that chair. Just amazing.
That is a stunning piece. I’m not fond of anything pink, but that is just glorious. Bet that’s the original fabric, too; it looks a little faded but not worn. Having a new home at the Cross House will give it new life. Well done, Kenny!!
