I purchased a pair of VERY sad-looking, cast-iron, late 1930s ceiling fixtures by Markel.

Which have now been reborn.

The fixtures are ideal for a room(s) with a low-ish ceiling. 1930s ceiling huggers!

SWEET! How did you get that finish to look so good? Or was it that way already and just needed a good cleaning?

I’ve recently started restoring/refurbishing vintage lighting for our Habitat for Humanity ReStore and I’d like any pointers on quick-and-easy ways to make the finishes come out nice like that, if you don’t mind sharing . . . .
