Before. After.

Recently, I was in Wichita to visit my friend Carl. In an antique mall I spotted a pair of 1920s sconces.

I hesitated. They were SO grim! Then I thought: The poor dears! I must SAVE them!

This kind of thought gets me into a lot of trouble. Why, I even purchased a huge old house to SAVE it. Sigh.

Well, wanna see the After?

Scroll way down….

Squee!!!!!!!! I was able to ascertain the original, and distinctive, polychrome finish: A kinda bronze with subtle red accents.

There is a back plate which was gold originally. And is again.

Wow, looks very nice! Did you have to fully re-finish it, or just do repair work? The result is excellent, especially with the contrasting backplate that brings out the detail work.
