Before.

 

The mantle has been refinished. It is cherry! The tiles have been reset. NO MORE DUCT TAPE! Next: doing something about the metal grate thingy, and repairing the hearth tiles.

    LOVE IT!!! The ‘metal grate thingy’ is LOVELY!!! Perhaps some black and gold paint…..something only you could make perfect!!! The mantel is to die for!!

    Ooh! Love that it’s actual cherry wood, and not a faux finish. It’s so beautiful! And the tiles look SO much better now.
