Before. After.

When I purchased this 1920s pan-stye fixture is was caked with paint. In the following image I had already started working on it, having removed its sockets and other parts:

Pretty sad, right? Wanna see it become a butterfly?

Imagine my surprise…and delight…in finding this GORGEOUS patina hidden away.

I’ve sold a lot of pan-style fixtures over the decades, but none like this. The body and arms are usual for pan fixtures but the curvaceous upper vase is remarkable. I love it!

The highly detailed socket rings…

…are matched on the canopy. The fixture was missing its canopy so I scoured my vast storage vaults with the hope that I had the right, perfect one!

Sooooo gorgeous. And, once…

…so sad.
