Before. After.

I purchased this 1920s pan-style fixture. It was kinda grim but I liked the center flowers and leaves in relief. But…how to make the rest look good while retaining the original polychrome on the flowers and leaves???????? The socket rings were also missing. Was I insane?

I “painted” the flowers and leaves with Vaseline, sprayed the body with new paint, and then washed the flowers and leaves with a lot of soap and a soft toothbrush. Brilliant!

The stem retained its leaf ring, and this informed as to what the missing socket rings looked like. Luckily, I had four in storage.

So lovely! You’re a master, Ross!
Wow! Definitely doesn’t resemble the before pic! Awesome!
Ross, I don’t think anyone has doubted how good you are at what you do. You are a master on so many levels. This one is particularly well done I think. Bravo!
Gorgeous!
Golly, you ARE good!! If only I had a house good enough for one or two of your rescues. Sigh.
