June, 2016. In about two months the turret finial will be back (after restoration) and the octagon tower will have a close replica of its long-lost finial. The porch balustrades will also return this year.

    I can’t wait to see the porch railings and lattice! You’ve got the old girl all dressed up, her jewels all on, now she needs her best Sunday shoes LOL. I’m thinking about my grandma after church on Sunday, sprinting around her kitchen cooking dinner for the family; still wearing her pretty dress, but with an apron on and barefoot 🙂

    I wondered if I saw a row of day-lilies. Looks like they are the yellow ones.

      Yes, there are yellow day-lilies adjacent to the sidewalk. They are briefly pretty.
