Before. After.

 

BEFORE. I got really excited when I found this online. For, I recognized the fixture as being a late 1940s kitchen pendant by Porcelier. These are rare; I have only previously ever offered three for sale.

 

AFTER. A good cleaning, a new socket, new cloth wiring, and this extraordinary fixture is ready to go!

 

Just stunning. Most of what you see is porcelain. Even the red ceiling canopy is porcelain! And two glass shades (the white center one and the red one).

 

F A B U L O U S! If you have a house from the 1940s or 1950s, this fixture would look incredible over your kitchen table.

  1. If I were rich, I’d buy a 1940’s house just to put this lamp in it. That’s one thing that sucks about living in a small house, there’s only so many places to put a light.
