Love this! I have a good feeling about November. Blue all the way.

Wowie. It’s about time. Even in an election where the press saus there’s a strong turnout, the truth really is that America has more eligible nonvoters than those who vote. I’ve been yelling about it for years. It’s irresponsible to not vote even in better times.

WOW, that is fantastic! Keep it up Dems.

I think it’s a whole new election. I hope she keeps the momentum alive with her VP running mate.

That’s astonishing! I love it. Next: Election Day should be a day off or a half day off all over the country.

Um, in Germany most people have a day off on our Election Days (traditionally it’s on Sundays!). Or you can vote in advance per mail. (However there had been minor problems, mostly in Berlin, in the last years).
Everyone who doesn’t vote isn’t allowed to complain over politics for the next years.
      Fingers crossed for Kamala!

WE LOVE THIS! Thank you for being so honest and open about whom you support and why.
You are a wise human, mister Ross. We are all so thankful for you, too!

As a Canadian, my stress level has gone down 700%! So exciting.

    • Kimz on July 26, 2024 at 1:35 am

We’re you stressed because so many Americans were going to move north? I know I was looking at maps myself!

      • Katie L on July 27, 2024 at 2:49 pm

No Kim’s, that wasn’t it, but you are more than welcome . It just feels like there is a light at the end of the tunnel in the political landscape, and it’s not a train. Brings me hope for everyone.

Meh, Finding it hard to get excited about a candidate who was so bad she dropped out of the 2020 presidential race in 2019. And having her thrust upon us without even a vote…wth? I realize this is uncharted territory, but talk about undemocratic!!!

    • Ross on July 28, 2024 at 4:50 pm

      Hi,Pat!

I was less than impressed by Harris when she ran for president, and dropped her from my Top 3 list in the summer of 2019.

Today? I’m all in for Harris. Why? Because:

      Democrats HELP.
      Republicans HARM.

I’m also gonna vote for Harris because she supports Democracy, and the right of body autonomy for all women.

Also, people did vote for Harris in the primaries, remember it was Biden/Harris. And you can vote for her in November.

      • Pat on August 3, 2024 at 9:34 am

Still not impressed with her. She failed to do much at the border. And she also failed at the other job she was tasked with, bringing high speed internet to rural America. Billions of dollars spent and not one person connected. Guess she couldn’t sleep her way into it.

And no, she wasn’t on the ballot in the primaries, we only vote for presidential delegates. The VP isn’t selected until the convention. Glad she was forced down throats in a completely undemocratic process. Being from Illinois, I’m used to it.

        • Ross on August 3, 2024 at 10:38 am

          Hi again, Pat.

I see you’ve just regurgitated Right-wing talking points, and not reality-based.

Harris was not in charge of the border. One of her jobs was to reduce immigrants coming from other countries. She traveled to other countries and worked with them to try and resolve some of the issues causing citizens to immigrate.

“bringing high speed internet to rural America.” This programs was only announced at the end of June, and is scheduled for completion on 2030. So, you’re mad at Harris for not using a magic wand?

“The VP isn’t selected until the convention.” But, curiously, Harris IS the VP.

Your sleep comment says nothing about Harris but reveals a great deal about the kind of person you are.

As a member of Gen Z, I am excited that so many of my generation specifically are registering to vote because of Kamala Harris. I know she’s not perfect, but she’s miles above the other option, and from what I read her time as DA is a lot more nuanced than what I had feared it had been, and seems to have had some pretty progressive programs. I’ll be excited to vote for her come November, and I only hope enough of us do.
