CH: Day 112

Yesterday.

Today. SQUEE!!!!!!!! See the dark gray horizontal trim just above the…shudder…vinyl? I will be touching that up. And I need to touch up the lower section of the triple window.

Next is this mess. While vinyl is sooooooo not my ideal choice it will be nice having this terrible scar vanish after 10 long years. I will bleach the soffit.

After that will be the north kitchen facade. Ditto scar going bye-bye. At some point the small deck will be enlarged to fully occupy the ‘court’ space.

    Only two rows left.

The wedge and the kitchen side will take a bit longer because of those “scars” but that puts you over the hump and almost done. By that time your eye will be healed and you can finish that little bit on the west. That won’t take long.

That eventual larger deck outside the kitchen door will be epic. It will be large enough for a cafe table and chairs. Perfect for breakfast or summer evenings. You could even have a grill out there or a chiminea. If there is one thing I am not excited about, it is a tiny, skimpy deck. That’s deck, not porch. Porches come in all sizes and need not be generous. But a deck is for relaxing, function and maybe even entertaining. It should be more than just another porch for only getting in and out the door. Your courtyard deck is going to be awesome.

Yes, it’s vinyl, but it is crisp. Sometimes a girl wants to put on some foundation to cover some temporary blotchiness, but I have confidence you will make it right, dear Ross.
