CH: Day 123 & 124
The L-shaped patch of unpainted?
It has remained unpainted for months, causing my neighbors…no doubt…to think WTF?
The cause of this delay was my testing high for lead poisoning. Thus, I have been avoiding all work that might cause additional damage to my body. Hence, too, my new-found love of vinyl.
To finish the L-patch and protect myself would involve encasing my entire body in a Tyvek suit. Which proved intolerable when the temperature was in the 90s or even 80s.
But yesterday and today? It was 40-degrees. So, Ross…the manly man that he is…suited up and removed the remaining paint on the patch via a scraper and infrared stripper.
The above images does not reveal much but in person ALL the old lead paint is now gone. What little remains is 1990s latex.
This means…fireworks display…that I can put on a coat of the turpentine mix tomorrow. And paint this weekend.
Enjoy the fireworks.
