I know. You are thinking: It looks the same.
It is not. If you click on the images you will see that I added another coat of primer to most of the siding. It looks more…solid now.
I also began the final stripping of the entry trim.

But seriously, Ross. Bravo. The Carriage House is breathing a sigh of relief and is so thankful for the time and care you’re putting into it.
Funny how sometimes you can’t see something until you are really looking for it. Looks great Ross, probably the cleanest that siding has looked in many decades.
Wow, this is looking good. I can’t wait to drive by when I’m back for Thanksgiving to see all your progress in person.

You have done an amazing job! Every time I am home to visit I make a point to drive by and see the cross house, now I will be driving by to see the carriage house too!
The old saying is that every cloud has a silver lining; the silver in this situation is that, while whoever complained to the city may not have had your best interest in mind, you were “motivated” by their act to do something that has given you pleasure and satisfaction. While it may have delayed work on the Cross House itself, the “Cross Compound” as a whole has benefitted. The carriage house looks 100% better, and the leaded glass will be the icing on the cake.
