CH: Day 138

As I previously mentioned, I took the NORTH leaded-glass transom off to be restored. Then I found the exact same window in an antique shop, in excellent condition, for half the cost of restoring the original one. I purchased it, and have been stripping it of red paint. I have also continued painting the entry trim.

Well, you never know when a third window might come in handy. They you can restore the original window and use that too.
Every savings helps and Clara’s memory is spread further around the Carriage House.
I am amazed that you found the same window/ same size that you needed. So much about the Cross House seems unique, but I guess a certain amount of choices available were “off the shelf”. Was it a nearby antique store and a chance that the window is a local salvage piece?
